The Pau Hana Big EZ Angler is the board you buy when you’re committed to the sport and want the best on-water experience. Its EPS/fiberglass construction paddles noticeably better than rotomolded or inflatable alternatives, and the integrated fishing features are thoughtfully designed. The wood veneer deck is stunning. This is a board you’ll keep for years, but the premium price and fragility compared to rotomolded boards mean it’s best suited for experienced paddlers who treat their gear well.

On-Water Performance

The Pau Hana Big EZ Angler 11’ delivers solid performance across the key metrics that matter for fishing. At 34″ wide, it provides excellent stability for casting and gear management. The tri-fin with tracking center fin provides reliable tracking, and the 375 lbs weight capacity handles a full fishing loadout with room to spare.

Build Quality

Construction quality is exceptional for the price point. The deck pad provides comfortable, grippy footing even when wet, and the overall build inspires confidence that this board will handle the demands of regular fishing use. At 42 lbs, portability is something to consider — you may want a cart or a helping hand for longer carries.

Value Proposition

At $1,749, the Big EZ Angler 11’ is a premium investment. Experienced paddlers who want premium build quality and superior on-water performance

Premium quality you can feel on every paddle stroke

Coming from inflatables, the difference in paddle feel is immediately obvious. This board glides. The EPS and fiberglass construction is noticeably stiffer and more responsive than any inflatable I have used. The integrated gear tracks and flush-mount rod holders are clean and functional. The wood veneer deck gets compliments every time I launch. Yes, it is expensive and yes, you need to be careful with it. But if you appreciate quality craftsmanship and superior performance, this is the board.

Pau Hana Big EZ Angler 11’ FAQ

Common questions about the Big EZ Angler 11’ for fishing

Consider your body weight plus gear weight to determine the capacity you need. Look for boards at least 33 inches wide for fishing stability. Decide between inflatable for portability or hard shell for performance. Set a realistic budget including aftermarket accessories you may need.
Most SUPs can accept aftermarket accessories like clamp-on rod holders, bungee-mounted crates, and strap-on gear tracks. Boards with built-in gear tracks or mounting points make accessory installation easier and more secure.
Rinse with fresh water after every saltwater session. Store out of direct sunlight when not in use. For inflatables, store partially inflated or loosely rolled. Inspect seams and valves regularly. Apply UV protectant spray every few months for boards stored outdoors.
At minimum, you need a Coast Guard-approved PFD, a leash, and a whistle. We also recommend a waterproof phone case, a small first aid kit, and a signaling device. Check local regulations as requirements vary by state and water type.
